The NACWDC offers an on-line course and a home study program for the Wedding Day Coordinator Certificate (WDCC). Our courses allow you to study at your own pace. When you are finished with one lesson, we will simply provide you with the next lesson as you progress through the program; and our programs are convenient; you can complete your work anytime and from anywhere.
NACWDC offers two types of courses:
(1) Course for the experienced coordinator/planner
Are you currently working as a coordinator but have not yet received you’re a professional certification? Do your bridal clients or potential clients ask if you have been trained or certified?
If you have more than twenty-four months experience as a wedding planner and/or wedding day coordinator, and if you have planned or coordinated a minimum of 12 weddings, it is not necessary to complete the NACWDC home-study course in order to receive your certification, however, only strictly qualified wedding day coordinators will be issued a Wedding Day Coordinator Certificate (WDCC).
In order to receive your WDCC, you must follow these criteria: Applicants must successfully meet the criteria set in the following three parts to obtain a Wedding Day Coordinator Certification: (1) References (5 in total) (2) Plan or coordinate a minimum of 12 weddings (3) Essay response to 4 written essays
The price for this course is $299.00. Certification is not guaranteed, as NACWDC aims to uphold the highest standards.
(2) Course of study for the novice wedding day coordinator
This option if for the beginning wedding day coordinator. Our training course has twelve assignments to educate you on being a wedding day coordinator and also on having your own business as a wedding day coordinator. Each assignment has an exam that is returned to NACWDC, graded and returned to you with a note and/or corrections. It is a correspondence course so you can do it at your own pace and schedule. The course will cover:

The NACWDC business courses will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to operate your wedding day coordinating business in a professional and successful manner. Our WDC courses cover a wide range of topics including: setting up and running a wedding day coordinating business, what you should charge for services, working with clients, working with vendors/wedding venues, developing professional relationships... plus much, much more.
*Wedding Day Coordinating:
The NACWDC coordinating courses will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed for conducting consultations, site inspection of ceremony/reception, creating wedding day timelines and planning schedules, review vendor contracts, direct rehearsal/coordinate wedding ... plus much, much more.
After you complete the course, and satisfy all of the requirements, you receive a certificate stating you are a Certified Wedding Day Coordinator.
