FAQ's
Are Wedding Day Coordinators highly sought after?
DEFINETELY! Wedding Day Coordinators are in high demand. They are more popular than wedding planners. Because many brides (and grooms) are now planning their entire wedding, full time wedding planners are no longer needed. Instead, the bride is looking to the WDC to carry out all of the planning that she (the bride) has done over the last months or years.
How can I become a Certified Wedding Day Coordinator?
You can become a certified wedding day coordinator by signing up for either of the programs offered by NACWDC. Once you are enrolled in a program, you will receive the assignment and upon completing and passing the final exam, you will receive your certification. By taking this course, you will be able to start your own business, charge more for your services, and state that you have been professionally trained by the best ~ NACWDC!
What is the passing grade for the course?
NACWDC promotes a level of excellence; therefore we only want to certify people who are really serious about becoming professional certified wedding day coordinators. Our program of study is designed to help you learn and comprehend the information provided. The final exam is comprehensive and requires a grade of 70% to pass.
Why is this course different from other wedding planning courses?
This course focuses specifically on the duties needed on “the day of” the wedding. Today’s bride and groom have taken control of their entire wedding planning. Full time wedding planners are being replaced with wedding day coordinators. Why spend thousands of dollars on a course for full wedding planning; for a service that is falling to the wayside. Instead, spend ½ of that cost for a service, which is in HIGH DEMAND!
How much does the course cost?
NACWDC offers two programs:
Course (1) is for coordinators who already have experience and not interested in completing the NACWDC home-study course program. The cost for this program is only $299.00.
Course (2) is for coordinators who are interested in completing the NACWDC home-study course program. The cost for this program is only $499.00.
Fees must be paid online through paypal.
How long does it take to complete the course?
The course can be completed in as little as 6 months, but we suggest you take your time to thoroughly learn and process the information before taking the tests. It is up to you to go at the pace you desire, what feels most comfortable to you. Remember, though, no refunds are available once you have paid the fees, so it is important not to let the program fall by the wayside. Take the course seriously, and you will come away with significant and essential knowledge about the wedding planning industry.
How much can I earn?
This varies and depends upon a number of different factors, such as the area that you live in, your level of expertise, or if you plan on working full or part-time. Most wedding day coordinators charge as much as $3,000 for their services, and some charge between based on a percentage (10%-15%) of the total cost of the wedding.
Once I sign up for the program, will I get support?
For specific questions during the course, NACWDC will be with you every step of the way. Our professionals are there to support you via phone or email.
